Hire Terms, Returns, Refunds & Privacy Policy
1. How Equipment Hire Works
We’ve made our hire process simple, secure, and designed for professionals:
- Choose your equipment: Browse our selection and pick what you need.
- Set your hire dates: Select your preferred hire and return dates, then add items to your cart.
- Create an account or log in: Sign up or log in to continue.
- Upload valid ID: Go to My Account and upload a valid form of ID.
- Finalise your hire: Head back to your cart, fill in the required details, select your payment method and confirm.
- E-mail confirmation: You’ll receive a confirmation email with:
- full booking details;
- a link to digitally sign your hire agreement;
- information about your security deposit;
- instructions for delivery or warehouse collection.
2. Uploading Your ID
We require valid ID to confirm your booking:
- Log in or sign up at Elektrum AV Hire.
- Go to My Account and complete the ID form.
- Upload your ID document.
- You can edit the form later if needed.
3. Signing the Hire Agreement
All bookings must be confirmed via digital signature:
- You’ll receive an email with a link to sign.
- Log in or create an account with our e-signature platform.
- Review and digitally sign the document where indicated.
4. Security Deposit
A security deposit is required to secure your hire:
- It will be collected at the time of delivery or pickup.
- The amount will be confirmed with you beforehand.
- Your deposit will be fully refunded at the end of your hire, provided the equipment is returned in the same condition.
5. Delivery & Pickup
We offer flexible logistics options:
- Within 24 hours of booking confirmation, we’ll contact you to:
- Arrange delivery fees (if applicable);
- Confirm the pickup or delivery time and location.
2. All logistics are coordinated directly with you to ensure a smooth process.
6. Refund Policy
- Cancellations with 72+ hours’ notice: Full refund (excluding transaction fees, if any).
- Cancellations between 72 and 24 hours: 70% refund of the hire amount.
- Cancellations within 24 hours or after equipment collection: No refund.
- Security deposits are refunded in full after the hire ends and equipment is returned in good condition.
7. Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously:
Cancellation Terms:
- Cancel 1-6 days before the hire period = 50% cancellation fee
- Cancel within 24 hours of hire period = 100% cancellation fee
- Partial cancellations will be charged pro rata at the above rates.
- Cancellation fees are based on the total of the job.
